Day 1 Arrive at Delhi in morning & later drive to Agra (205kms; 4hrs drive approx.)
On your arrival to Delhi airport ,our representative will welcome you.
Proceed for half day tour of Delhi.
After breakfast you will proceed for full-day tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit India Gate, Jama Masjid, which is the largest mosque in India, built by Emperor Shah Jahan. Enjoy a walk in Chandni Chowk, the busiest market in Old Delhi. Drive past Red Fort, Rashtrapati Bhavan , India Gate. Visit Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi that marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Later visit Humayun’s Tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562. It was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent where the Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale.
In late afternoon you will drive to Agra, check in at a hotel and relax. Overnight in Agra.
Day 2 Agra-Jaipur (235kms; 5-6hrs drive approx.)
Today, after breakfast you will take a half day tour of Agra.
History says, Agra was founded by Sultan Sikander Lodi in 1504. But it flourished much later under Mughal patronage. If it’s Agra, Taj Mahal (closed every Friday) has to be your halt. The white marble mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal on the banks of Yamuna, is the ultimate epitome of love. Owing to beautiful Mughal architecture, Taj features among the Seven Wonders of The World.
Agra Fort made of red sandstone by Akbar in 1565 is another classic example of Mughal craftsmanship. Visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was built by the Emperor Akbar and was the capital of Mughal empire for 10 years. The Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti enshrines the burial place of the Sufi saint who lived a religious life here. Today, Fatehpur Sikri is a UNESCO World heritage site.
Upon arrival Jaipur check in at a hotel and relax. Overnight in Jaipur
Day 3 Jaipur
After breakfast, you will enjoy a full-day sightseeing trip of Jaipur, also known as the ‘Pink City’… it is famous for its colorful culture, forts, palaces, and lakes. The old city of Jaipur is painted pink, which gives it a magical glow. Visit Amber Fort… a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. The best way to explore the fort is to ride up to it on elephant back. Later, stop to photograph the beautiful Hawa Mahal, also known as the “Palace of the Winds.” This beautiful façade with its ornately carved latticework windows is made of pink sandstone. Visit the City Palace… again, a synthesis of Rajasthani and Mughal styles. Later, visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory, comprising geometric devices for measuring time. You will also visit the Albert Hall, which was modeled on the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and is a fine example of Indo-Saracenic style of architecture. In evening you are at leisure for your independent activities.
In evening you will enjoy dinner at Choki Dhani village in ethnic Rajasthani style.
Day 4 Jaipur-Srinagar (by morning flight JetKonnect- 0835/1150hrs)
Take a morning flight to Srinagar; upon arrival transfer to houseboat. check in at a hotel and relax. Later in afternoon proceed for a local sightseeing of Mughal gardens and Chesma Shahi, Pari Mahal and Shankaracharya temple.
Overnight in Srinagar.
Day 5 Srinagar-Pahalgam (98kms; 3hrs drive approx.)
After breakfast drive to Pahalgam; en route you will have a rare opportunity to visit the Saffron fields en route. Upon arrival Pahalgam you will first check in to hotel and relax. Later in afternoon you will visit Aru Valley, Baisaran Valley and Betab Valley also known as mini-Switzerland. Overnight in Pahalgam
Day 6 Pahalgam-Gulmarg (156kms; 4hrs drive approx.)
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg; drive through the beautiful Hills to Gulmarg- one of the finest hill stations in the Kashmir. Gulmarg is a wonderful place to take a walk, a pony ride, get out the paints or play golf on one of the highest golf courses in the world. Enjoy yourself in the adventuresome winter sport activities or enjoy Gondola Ride (to be paid on your own). Overnight in Gulmarg.
Day 7 Gulmarg-Srinagar (50kms; 1-2hrs drive approx.) & departure
After breakfast drive to Srinagar and on board flight for onward destination. End of our services.
